I think the key to being consistent is building momentum and reducing the friction that comes with getting started on the days where you just don’t feel like it. So I wanted to create a 5-minute routine that you can do anywhere, even in a tiny space, with absolutely no equipment.
The idea behind this routine is that it’s a bare minimum kind of routine.
When life gets crazy, when you are too busy, unable to get to the gym, or just low on energy… you have a simple short routine that you can do in 5 minutes.
If it’s been a little while since the last time you exercised, this can be a great way to get the ball rolling again. Think about it like hitting the reset button. When all else goes pear-shaped, and you missed all your scheduled workouts, at least you put in 5 good minutes of training.
But this is not easy!
It’s designed to challenge you in the shortest time possible.
It’s also meant to remind you of the areas where there is work to be done,
It’s tough on the feet, it’s challenging for the knees, and it really opens up the chest and back.
So here it is!
Something to know before you watch it!
To make this routine truly powerful you should download my new app ‘Chase Mountains’ and complete the challenge where I dive deep into all 5 of these movements. In the app I have separate videos for each exercise that has all the progressions and regressions.
Which means you can find a starting point that you can competently do.
If there’s one thing I´ve learned in 10 years of coaching it is that there is nothing more detrimental to progress than encountering an exercise you can´t do.
So download the app and start building some momentum with your training!
The Chase Mountains app is available in the App Store or Google Play. Simply search for ‘Chase Mountains’ and download to get started.
