At a certain point, I decided that I wanted to spend as much time outside as possible.
I'd spent years hiking, climbing and travelling through places like New Zealand and Nepal, and I knew I wanted to build a life around the mountains. So, about 13 years ago, I became a personal trainer that only focused on the needs of hikers.
From day one, the goal was simple. Help people prepare for the adventures they'd been dreaming about, whether that was Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, Kokoda or their own local mountains.
I wanted to get people out of the office and into the vertical world. I wanted them to see, feel and experience nature. Over the years, it became evident to me that what really drove me was challenging people to grow.
I saw incredible changes in the people I worked with, and it wasn't just because they got fitter. It was the combination of preparing for something meaningful and spending time in the mountains that kept bringing people back.
Since those early days I've helped thousands of hikers prepare for adventures all over the world.
The last 3 years I’ve been working 1:1 with hikers who had common issues like plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, knee pain, achilles tendinitis and I learned a great deal about the human body and what it needs.
I documented thousands of hours of these calls, keeping a close eye on what worked and what didn’t, and piece by piece, I built a movement system for hikers that could be applied on a larger scale - I called this the Hike Flow Method.
